Ice sports in the holiday region
Zell am See – KaprunEnjoy ice skating on natural ice rinks
If you are looking for a winter sports alternative to skiing, then ice skating is a great option.
The holiday region offers two natural ice rinks. The Kaprun ice skate rink is situated directly opposite the local fire brigade station and is open daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The second ice skating venue is Lake Zell. When frozen, you can enjoy ice skating as well as other ice sports such as curling on the lake.
Curling on Lake Zell
Another popular winter sport in Zell am See is curling.
When Lake Zell is frozen, you can practise this exciting precision sport in a picturesque setting.
Here you can play on the ice with family or friends or challenge some of the local curling players to a competition. In any case, you’ll never experience a dull moment
