Time out in the Salzburg Alps
At the Guggenbichl, our aim is to offer a cosy retreat in the Salzburg Alps that allows our guests to experience memorable moments in nature.
Our secluded location high above the town of Kaprun, right on the edge of the forest, far away from the noise of busy roads, ensures our guests can relax in a peaceful, natural setting.
Guests can enjoy sweeping views from our sun terrace far across the landscape – over Kaprun Castle and the glistening waters of Lake Zell. The panorama alone will make you breathe calmer.

Nature outside and inside
“Natural, regional, authentic”. This is our motto at the Guggenbichl.
The guesthouse is situated next to a farm with mooing cows and the smell of fresh hay. It goes without saying that our breakfast is prepared using only fresh, regional produce. Likewise our apartments featuring a simple, harmonious design and a “hay wall” in three different flower varieties express closeness to nature.
Those seeking peace and relaxation will find that we offer a calming alternative to the daily grind. Our warm welcome, authenticity and tradition ensure your personal wellbeing from the moment you arrive.
Whether you choose to kick back and relax on the sun terrace, venture on a hike through the beautiful Salzburg Alps or go shopping in Kaprun (only 5 minutes away)… we leave that completely up to you.
